Nachdem wir die Motorräder aus dem Parkhaus geholt haben verlassen Glasgow Richtung Nordwesten. Unser Tagesziel ist Fort William. Ist es zunächst noch trocken, machen wir bei Inveraray schon Bekanntschaft mit den ersten Regentropfen.
In Oban gibt es zur Mittagspause eine kleine Suppe in dem gemütlichen Bistro "Little Bay Cafe". Ca. 20km vor Fort William machen wir noch einen Abstecher in das wunderschöne und bekannte Tal "Glencoe".
Hatten wir im Tal noch Glück mit dem Wetter bekommen wir nach dem Verlassen des Tals schon einen Vorgeschmack auf das Wetter der kommenden Tage.
Bevor wir zum B&B in Fort William fahren machen wir einen weiteren Abstecher zum Nevis Range Mountain Resort am Fuße von Goßbritaniens höchstem Berg Ben Nevis.
After we have fetched the motorbikes from the parking garage, we leave Glasgow to the northwest. Our destination for the day is Fort William. If it is still dry at first, at Inveraray we get to know the first raindrops.
In Oban we had a small soup for lunch in the cozy bistro "Little Bay Cafe". About 20km before Fort William we make a detour into the beautiful and well-known valley "Glencoe".
If we were still lucky with the weather in the valley, after leaving the valley we get a foretaste of the weather for the coming days.
Before we ride to the B&B in Fort William, we make another detour to the Nevis Range Mountain Resort at the foot of Great Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
