Auch auf dem Weg zu unserem nordöstlichsten Punkt der Tour begleitet uns der Regen wieder den ganzen Tag.
Der wohl landschaftlich sehr reizvolle Abschnitt unserer Tour entlang der Ostküste kann seine Schönheit daher nur eingeschränkt entfalten. Dennoch bleibt dieser Teil der Route noch lange in unserer Erinnerung.
Ohne die geplanten Abstecher an verschiedene Küstenorte erreichen wir am Nachmittag das Tagesziel Durness, wo ich mir nach einer aufwärmenden Pause später noch die bekannte Höhle mit Wasserfall "Smoo Cave" anschaue.
Even on the way to our northeastern point of the tour, the rain accompanies us all day.
The probably very scenic section of our tour along the Scottish east coast can therefore only unfold its beauty to a limited extent. Nevertheless, this part of the route remains in our memory for a long time.
Without the planned detours to various coastal towns, we reach the day's destination Durness in the afternoon, where after a warm-up break I look at the well-known cave with the waterfall "Smoo Cave".
